byBrydon is a full service invitation and stationery design company based in Newport, RI. Brydon knows that weddings get expensive, and believes that beautiful custom invitations don't have to be.  With a background in graphic design and visual art, Brydon enjoys using a combination of media including watercolors, calligraphy, pen and ink, and her computer to create unique pieces for each client.

Custom Invitations

Your wedding day is the culmination of months of planning making many decisions while trying to figure out your design style.  The invitation will be the first glimpse into your day, and will set the stage for your soirée.  I will take your ideas, colors, pinterest boards, and magazine clippings and put something together you will really love.  And hopefully we will have some fun along the way!

Congratulations! You have decided to get married! Planning a wedding may have challenges, but it will also be FUN. You get to put all of your own ideas, styles, and dreams into one wonderful day. A wedding is not only one of the most memorable and wonderful days of your new life as a married couple, but it is also an expression of that love through the way every detail of the day is put together.

I love taking the time to get to know you, listen to stories of how the couple met, and get a sense of your style and vision for your wedding invitation suite. This can include everything from just an invitation and RSVP card, to every paper item you will need for your amazing wedding day including save-the-dates, table signs, escort cards, programs, thank you notes, and party favor tags, to name a few.

Custom Process

1. CONTACT

YAY! You have decided that you want something totally unique that represents you and your fiancé, and introduces your wedding style. You may have a very great idea of what you want, or might be totally lost and have no idea where to start.  Don’t worry. thats totally normal! And I am here to make your vision (or lack there of) shine!

2. LETS CHAT

You will hear from me within a few business days of contacting me.  If not, i’m probably out on a boat and don’t have service.  I usually like to chat over the phone, but if you are better at explaining by sitting down and typing it out, that is fine too.  I like to get a sense of who you and your fiancé are, your style and colors for your wedding, the location, and anything else you would like me to know or include in your invitation.  We will talk about the suite items you need included and your budget and timeline for production.

3. RECEIVE QUOTE

Once I understand your needs I will sit down and create a custom quote just for you.  I will likely include custom items that I feel would enhance your suite - think belly bands, edge painting, folios, twine wraps with labels, etc.  These are totally optional, and can be removed from your quote on request.  If you know exactly what you want included, don’t be shy! Let me know at any point during the design process.  I require a 25% non-refundable deposit of this quote before design begins.  

4. DESIGN!

I will start by designing the invitation only.  You will receive 2 or 3 custom designs of which you can choose and tweak until it is perfect.  Once we have nailed down the invitation I will start working on the rest of your suite items.  Again, these can be tweaked until you are happy! You can add extras to your hearts content, and I will be sure to include them in the design.  This is your last chance to cancel your suite if you really dislike my work.  In which case I am very sorry. 

5. Final approval

After everything looks perfect to you I will send you a contract and require final payment.  Once this contract has been signed and final payment is received, NO cancellations will be accepted.  

6. Print

I work with a local print shop who takes the time, care, and attention to make each order perfect.  As you can imagine, this takes time.  You can expect your order to ship 3-4 weeks after final approval.  If you are working with a calligrapher you should schedule them early to be sure everything gets done on time.  I am happy to work with brides on a tight timeline, but this will incur a small rush order fee.  Please be sure to let me know during the initial conversation if you are on a tight timeline!
