byBrydon is a full service invitation and stationery design company based in Newport, RI. Brydon knows that weddings get expensive, and believes that beautiful custom invitations don't have to be.  With a background in graphic design and visual art, Brydon enjoys using a combination of media including watercolors, calligraphy, pen and ink, and her computer to create unique pieces for each client.

The conditions below are in place for both your benefit and mine.  In order to provide you with the best experience possible, the below conditions apply to all orders.  Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have!

pricing

Every project is unique in style and needs, therefore I take the time to quote each project individually. The price of your piece relies on the quantity needed, style of printing, complexity of design, and paper weight. All invitations are printed on 110# or 220# (letterpress only) 100% cotton paper, and can include everything from an invitation only, to a full suite of wedding or celebration products.  Most invitation suites typically start around $800 for custom designed flat prints, or around $1200 for letterpress.  Other projects such as notecards, greeting cards holiday cards and business cards depend on quantity and design, but are generally quite a bit less than invitation suites.  For clients looking for a more economical option, there are many beautiful flat printing options on linen or felt paper.

PROCESS

To get an idea of your hopes for your project, I like to chat over the phone about your style, the event type, favorite places you have visited, favorite colors, and an added bonus would be a pinterest board you have started!  If your needs are for a wedding, I like all of the details of how you met, any meaningful places or events you have shared together that could be incorporated into your design.  After the initial meeting I will put together two unique designs for you to review and critique.  After approving the initial design, I will move forward to create any remaining suite items which I will send to you for one additional review (this usually only applies to wedding invitations).  Once all items have been approved I will move forward with the production and printing process, and you can expect your items within 4-6 weeks!

Build-Your-Own Design Policies

SELECT DESIGNS

By separating the background designs and text designs you have the opportunity to create something totally unique without forking over your entire wedding budget.  Mix and match designs and printing styles, pick your colors and paper, and head to checkout.  Its really that easy.

SEND THE DETAILS

After adding your design to your shopping cart you will be prompted to make all of your design decisions. There will be a text box to enter the wording for your invitation, as well as print and paper color options, and a few extra text styles, should you wish to tweak the style a bit.

RECEIVE PROOFS

Brydon will be in touch with you within one week of checking out to send you proofs.  If your design didn't turn out the way you hoped, don't panic!  Thats what proofs are for.  Brydon will work with you until you are 100% satisfied with your design. 

APPROVAL

Once you are satisfied with your design you will sign for approval to send to print.  Once you have approved the proof you may not make any additional changes to your design.  Any fees associated with re-printing costs due to misspellings, design changes, or changing your mind will be the responsibility of the customer. 

PRINT & SHIPPING

Your invitations will go to print the business day after final approval.  Typically you can expect your items to arrive 3-4 weeks after final approval.  All packages are shipped via UPS Ground and are fully insured to the value of your product.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

A great place to start is by contacting me with your ideas and vision for your piece(s).  Ideally I would love to talk to you either over the phone, in person (in Charleston, SC), or through email to get a better sense of who you are and what your needs are. Once we have talked a bit and I have a sense of what the project will entail, I will send you a quote.

RECEIVING YOUR QUOTE

Once you have received the quote and would like to move forward, you will sign a contract  and I will send you an invoice for a $100 non-refundable deposit. Once the contract has been signed and the deposit has been received, design will begin.

DESIGN

The design process starts with creating an invitation ONLY. I will create two or three options for you to choose from based on your preferences selected in the order form. You are given three rounds of revisions after choosing the design you prefer, and any additional revisions will incur a $40 fee. After approval of the invitation, I will create the rest of the suite for you to review. You are given an additional two rounds of revisions for the remaining suite items, and any additional changes will incur a $40 fee.

APPROVAL

I will send over a final PDF for you to proof all design elements, spelling, typography, and details. If you notice a spelling or grammatical error, there is no additional charge for revision. After carefully looking over the document you will give  me approval to send to print. Final payment is due at this time, and the $100 deposit is put towards this payment. A printed proof can be available by request for flat prints.  You will be responsible for all re-printing costs due to typos or errors after the final approval has been received.

PRINT

Once everything has been approved, the project will go into production. Typically you can expect your items to arrive 3-4 weeks after final approval.  All packages are shipped via UPS Ground and are fully insured to the value of your product.

OPTIONAL ASSEMBLY

If you have ordered items such as envelope liners, belly bands, or would just like us to do all of the stuffing work for you, production time will vary based on your needs. Typically any pre-assembly work will add an additional 7 days to production time. Please remember to factor this time in when you place your order!

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations may be made anytime up until the final approval form has been signed. Once the approval has been signed, invitations go to print and production and are not subject to cancellations.

Timeline

CUSTOM PIECES

Although wedding invitations don't get sent out until 6-8 weeks before the wedding it is best to start the custom design process 5-6 months before the wedding.  It takes time to create something unique for each couple, and you want to leave plenty of time for adjustments and edits.  If you are in a crunch and need something soon, I would be happy to send you a few options of pre-designed invitations that can be ready to send to print within a week or two, depending on how fast approval is granted.  Please allow 3-4 weeks for printing and shipping after final approval.
